How do I remove someone from a call?

As a host, you can remove any participant from an active call at any time.

How to remove a participant

1. Find the participant's video tile in the call.

2. Right-click their tile (or click the menu button on their tile).

3. Select 'Remove from call'.

4. The participant is immediately disconnected and sees a message: 'You have been removed from this call.'

Can a removed guest rejoin?

Yes — removal does not permanently block a guest. They can use the same room link to re-enter the waiting room. If you want to prevent them from rejoining, lock the room after removing them.

How to lock the room

1. Click the lock icon in the toolbar.

2. The room status changes to Locked. New guests cannot enter the waiting room.

3. Unlock at any time by clicking the lock icon again.

Muting instead of removing

If a participant has background noise or an audio issue, you can mute them without removing them. Right-click their tile and select 'Mute participant'. They can unmute themselves if needed.

**Note:** Locked rooms prevent new guests from entering the waiting room entirely. Existing participants in the call are not affected by locking.
