What does a suspended room look like? How do I reactivate?

What your guests will see

When a room is suspended, guests who visit the room link will see a message: 'This room is temporarily unavailable.' They cannot enter the waiting room or join a call. The room link itself remains valid — it will work again as soon as the room is reactivated.

What you will see as admin

Your room will appear as Suspended in your account dashboard. You will not be able to start calls. A banner will explain the reason — usually a failed payment or a cancelled subscription.

Why rooms get suspended

- Payment failure — after a 7-day grace period with no successful payment

- Subscription cancelled — room suspends immediately on cancellation

- Trial ended without a payment method on file

How to reactivate

1. Go to nexusroom.app/account and sign in.

2. Click 'Manage billing' to open the Stripe billing portal.

3. Update your payment method or restart your subscription.

4. Your room will reactivate automatically within 5 minutes of a successful payment.

**Note:** Your room data — chat history, settings, branding — is retained for 30 days after suspension. Reactivating within this window restores everything.
